The 2019 harvest

Over 2019 Damien Landouar worked through frost, dry spells, and a heatwave. The vintage that came off the vine is complex, and it remembers the year.

The grapes are grown naturally, and they take the temperament of the land. A humid spring and a cold, wet winter cost about 20% of the crop. The vines that remained kept that moisture through a hot Bordeaux summer. Summer heat and a dry autumn concentrated the fruit.

Harvest began in late September. Over three weeks, a team of thirty picked by hand. The yield was spectacular: a deep, robust vintage.

Uniquely complex and balanced, the 2019 reflects the appellation. It was awarded over 90 points by three sommeliers.
